AAFI has purchased a new Amada FabriVISION inspection system. This laser inspection tool is a non-contact laser scanner that provides automatic measurement and digitizing capabilities for the validation of sheet metal parts.
FabriVISION’s automated inspection process compares flat part geometry to the original CAD drawings by creating an electronic template of the flat part. It also has a reverse engineering function that allows a customer’s part to be scanned and transformed into CAD data.
This new, laser based inspection machine has decreased our first article inspection time by up to 96% while increasing the accuracy of our measurements.
AAFI is one of the first contract manufacturers in North America to install Amada’s new “C1” Turret Punch Press / Laser cutting combination machine.
